Expansion plans approved for Bath restaurant

A popular restaurant in Bath is set to be expanded to include guest room facilities, after the council opted to approve the application that was submitted.

Walcot House is situated on Walcot Street in the city. It is primarily a restaurant with rooms for private bookings, but is also home to a wine and cocktail bar. Now it will be undergoing an expansion that will allow the owners to add luxury guest rooms. This project will also see the part of the building that currently houses a nightclub converted into a room for hosting live events.

It is owned by the Walcot Group chain, which submitted the application to Bath & North East Somerset Council. Much of the work will be internal and will see the existing building connected to the one next door. This will provide the extra space that is needed.

When local businesses expand, they sometimes decide to rebrand themselves. Bath is home to shops that offer Logo Design services that can be useful during that process.

At the moment, the building adjacent to Walcot House is occupied by offices and another eatery. According to the Plans, it will be turned into seven luxury rooms, a reception and storage space.

In its application, the Walcot Group argued that there are lots of other office spaces in Bath and that most of them are more modern than these.
