Alex Huggins is a refrigeration engineering apprentice. He entered a national competition called WorldSkills UK and has progressed all the way to the final. This contest featured promising apprentices from all over the UK, so those that remain in the running at the end are the real elite competitors. Huggins will travel to Wales for the final, which is taking place in Cardiff and Vale College.
The specific category that he has a chance of winning is the Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Heat Pumps one. Huggins is a student at Bath College, where he is doing an apprenticeship in Building Services. He also works at Cotswold Vale Refrigeration Ltd, and he will be representing both at the final.
