What's Happening in Bath, England…

Veteran 80s group to come to Bath

The folk rock band, The Waterboys, is currently on tour and is due to play a gig in Bath at the beginning of May.

They were formed in 1983 by Mike Scott, and quickly attracted a loyal fan base. Over the years, there have been many line-up changes, while acquiring a solid reputation for their strong concert performances.

Early on, the band released a series of successful albums, notably 'A Pagan Place', 'This Is The Sea' and 'Fisherman's Blues'. Popular hits from these include 'The Whole Of The Moon', and 'The Pan Within'. The band also toured with both The Pretenders and Simple Minds.

The members decided to break up in 1993, with Scott going on to pursue solo projects. In 2000, he reformed The Waterboys, and they later appeared at Glastonbury.

The latest line-up includes Brother Paul, James Hallawell, Aongus Ralston and Eamon Ferris.

They have evolved from playing roots-inspired folk to modern blues, released a handful of albums and have been frequently on the road touring. Scott has also published his autobiography and the band's last album, 'All Souls Hill', came out in May 2022.

Tickets cost £43.50 inclusive of a transaction fee. Printing services are a valuable resource for those involved in the promotion of a concert or musical event.

The Waterboys show has a starting time of 7.30 pm on Friday, 2 May at The Forum, Bath.
