Somerset Skills and Learning launches revamped brochure

Residents of the Bath and Somerset region are being targeted with a newsletter-style brochure advertising courses on offer from Somerset Skills and Learning.

Somerset Skills and Learning Initiative have 17 centres throughout Somerset and their new brochure gives details on the large number of courses on offer to local residents. The brochure also advertises a 10% discount on courses until 30th July 2011. Somerset Skills and Learning’s Marketing Manager, Ade Bowan, told the Yeovil Express that the organisation was:

"Very excited with the way enrolments are going for this new brochure already. I think our 10% discount Early Bird offer has really grabbed people’s interest.”

The brochure is available at local libraries throughout the county and at Somerset Skills and Learning centres and shows the courses available, from Watercolour Painting to Buying and Selling on Ebay. Course listings and discount codes are just one part of the brochure, which also includes contests where people can win tickets to local attractions and money off vouchers for courses. Brochure printing has always been a winning way for colleges to communicate their offerings to the local community and by including extra content like the competitions; people are more likely to engage with a brochure.

Printers in Bath, Somerset and the wider area have long since worked with local educational organisations to produce promotional material like this and the success of the latest version of the Somerset Skills and Learning brochure is testament to the effectiveness of full colour printing.
