London offers special train ride to Bath Christmas Markets

A British steam locomotive will take passengers directly to Bath’s Christmas market for 2019 on a magical train trip.

Many towns around Kent are preparing for the winter season by listing their Christmas events. One of the UK’s most favoured festive markets, the Bath Christmas Market is well-attended each year and has upped the Christmas magic factor by allowing attendees to arrive by a special train.

Set among the historic buildings of the Roman city, the Christmas Market provides a broad selection of over 150 individual stalls, selling everything from handmade gifts and novelties to home-ware and jewellery. A host of hot snacks and drinks are also readily available for visitors as well as a chance to stock up their Christmas stores with artisan cheeses and home-made preserves and pickles.

Promoters of seasonal events can use poster printing services to create colourful Posters to advertise upcoming events.

The steam train picking up passengers for Bath is one of the only two remaining B1 type trains in existence and is called the 61306 Mayflower. Designed originally in 1948, it was built in Glasgow for the London and North Eastern rail service.

The Christmas market train trip to Bath departs from London Paddington on Sunday, December 1st at 9:20am with stops at Slough and Reading along the way. It will arrive promptly in Bath at 1:30pm and passengers with a return ticket should board the train before 5:50pm.
