Fresh team up to develop Bath Quays South

A new partnership is poised to take on regeneration work in the southern part of Bath Quays.

The collaboration consists of the local authority, design consultancy BMT and TCN, a provider of creative workspaces. All the work will take place within the inner business district to the south of the river. New partnerships can increase demand for Letterheads and premium Business Cards.

As a result of the cooperation, the council should get a leading tenant. BMT will obtain an appropriate location for its regional headquarters. In addition, the Enterprise Area for Bath could receive a boost and this may increase opportunities for local people. Patrick Anketell-Jones, a councillor with responsibility for economic strategy, said:

“The Council’s vision for a thriving economy and local jobs depends on creating the right type of high quality workspace for our businesses. Developments like South Quays, aimed directly at successful modern businesses are key to delivering that vision for 21st Century Bath.”

Tim Warren, the head of Bath and North East Somerset Council, welcomed the news. He said that one of the consequences of working together should be that entrepreneurship in Bath would remain successful.

The consultancy BMT already employs more than 500 people in the area. It was established back in 1985. Construction near the Avon is likely to start next year. By 2018, the new offices should be ready.
