The innovative acoustic folk band Track Dogs is currently on tour, and is due to play a gig in Bath at the beginning of August.
This four-piece outfit was formed in Madrid in 2006 and consists of a couple of Irishmen, an Englishman and an American. They adopted the name from the teams that maintain the tracks of the New York subway system, while their distinctive sound is created by fusing folk, Americana, Latino and pop genres.
The band is well established in Spain, where they are still based. To date, they have released a total of seven studio albums, plus several live albums, and appeared at an array of festivals -most notably Glastonbury, Electric Picnic and Northern Kin.
They are presently on the road again with album number 11, titled ‘Tracks Laid, Tracks Covered’. This features many of their original songs as well as covers such as 'La Banda' together with some new tracks, like 'Amor De Mi Vida' and ‘Ruby’, not to mention a few reworked versions of their songs. Next year will mark their 20th anniversary.
Tickets cost £20.90 inclusive of a transaction fee. Flyer printing can be a useful option when it comes to the promotion of a concert or musical event.
The gig will have a starting time of 8.00 pm on Saturday, 2 August at Chapel Arts Centre, Bath.
