A retelling of Swan lake with a 1960s spin is coming to Bath this winter.
An award-winning theatre company is inviting members of the public to attend a new take on the classic romance Swan Lake. This unique version transports the tale back to small-town USA of 50 to 60 years ago, with a winter setting for the season.
On a stage adorned with matching houses, perfect picket fences and sparkling Christmas trees, those attending will see a quiet and peaceful place disrupted by the arrival of a local gang called The Swans, led by the fearsome Odette.
Theatres with upcoming events can sometimes use poster printing services to create colourful one-sheets to display in their main foyer.
This new take on Swan Lake is presented by Bristol-based troupe The Wardrobe Ensemble and combines comedy and music to retell this popular love story of freedom and courage. From the lines to the laughs, this winter production is performed to a ‘60s pop soundtrack and designed for audiences of all ages.
The Swan Lake production will be held at the Egg Theatre, part of the Royal Theatre situated at Bath’s Saw Close. Performances will run from Friday, December 4, 2020 to Sunday, January 10, 2021. Standard tickets are available at £20 per persons, with concessions available for students and children at £15.
