The Thompson Twins' Tom Bailey is embarking on his 'Into The Gap 40th Anniversary Tour', and is scheduled to play Bath in the coming months.
The band got together in Sheffield in 1977 and underwent various line-up changes over the years. It eventually settled in 1983 on the threesome of Tom Bailey, Alannah Currie saxophonist and Joe Leeway percussionist.
They were a highly regarded and successful 1980s group, providing the background music to many people's lives. 'Into The Gap' came out in 1984, and reached the top of the album charts. It went on to sell more than five million records, spawning five tracks that all contributed to them conquering America.
These songs included 'Doctor Doctor', 'Hold Me Now' and 'The Gap'. Leeway opted to go solo in 1986, although the band persisted as a duo right up until 1993, when they initiated a new electronic project called 'Babble'.
Apart from the album, Bailey will also be performing a selection of hits from 'The Thompson Twins' back catalogue, such as 'Lies' and 'We Are Detective'.
Tickets range in price from £27.50 to £99.00 and are subject to a transaction tax. Brochure printing can be a great resource by those engaged in the promotion of a concert or musical event.
Tom Bailey's show has a starting time of 7.30pm on Thursday, 16 May at The Forum. Bath.
