Bath set to host blues-rock musician

The singer/songwriter Beth Rowley is on tour, supported by DG Solaris, and is due to play a gig in Bath at the beginning of December.

Born in Lima Peru, Rowley grew up in Bristol, and on leaving college in Brighton was signed to Universal Music. This led to the global release of 'Little Dreamer', her first album, which featured in the top 10 of the UK charts with sales of more than 100,000.

Rowley’s music is heavily influenced by the Blues, Gospel and Americana, while her distinctive voice has gained widespread recognition. Working closely with co-writers Ron Sexsmith, Ben Castle and Marcus Bonfanti, her second album 'Gota Fria' came out a decade later, in 2018.

A Brit Award Nominee for Best Female Solo Artist, she has also performed with Jamie Cullum, Adele and Burt Bacharach, amongst others.

The support on this occasion is provided by DG Solaris, familiar in the London folk world for many years performing as Laish. Their change of name also saw a change of direction with the pop-folk album, 'Spirit Glow'.

Tickets cost £5.50 inclusive of a commission fee. Poster printing is widely acknowledged as one of the most effective ways of engaging in the promotion of a future concert or musical event.

Beth Rowley's gig has a starting time of 3.00pm on Saturday 2nd December, and is located at Church of St Philip & St James, Bath.
