Bath ready for laughs in February

Flo & Joan's 'Sweet Release' tour is due to arrive in Bath at the beginning of February for a single performance.

The award-winning musical comedy siblings bring together piano and percussion to present this brand new show, which is a distinctive combination of upfront humour and critically acclaimed songs.

The sisters, Rosie and Nicola Dempsey, are British-born but Toronto-based and have travelled the globe headlining sell-out gigs. These previously included appearances at both Montreal's Just For Laughs Festival and Sketchfest, as well as the Melbourne International Comedy Festival.

The duo has also broken into television, notably Live at the Apollo (BBC2), The Russell Howard Hour (Sky), The Royal Variety Performance (ITV) and Jonathan Ross’ Comedy Club (ITV). With their songs having been viewed 50 million times online, a special Alive on Stage, broadcast on Amazon Prime, is also among their work.

They are now embarking on their latest and largest UK tour to date, exploring topics as diverse as alien lovers, overthinking and fringes. According to The List:

“Musical comedy hasn't been in such safe hands in years.”

Tickets cost £16 with a minimum entry age of 14 years plus. Poster printing can be an effective way of publicising a forthcoming musical comedy or theatrical event.

Flo & Joan's show has a starting time of 8:00 pm on Thursday, February 3 at Komedia, Bath.
