The comic and book of the year writer, Adam Kay, is on tour with his show This is Going to Hurt, having confirmed a performance date in Bath in mid-September.
Adam Kay was originally a medic, but gave up his stethoscope in favour of a microphone, joining the musical parody group Amateur Transplants. This led to his successful appearances at the Edinburgh Fringe and in the West End as well as sell-out tours.
Adam's sharp and darkly funny re-envisioning of rock and pop tracks has won the comic a cult fan club, with songs such as the London Underground Song achieving over 20 million YouTube views. Prior to the project’s retirement, Amateur Transplant featured almost continuously in the iTunes top ten comedy lists.
His stage tour of This Is Going to Hurt previously saw more than 250,000 people in attendance and has now been turned into a BBC One TV series. In this latest incarnation, he recalls tales from his time as a young doctor, based on diary extracts, combining music and stand-up.
It includes material from his new book Undoctored: The Story of a Medic Who Ran Out of Patients.
Ticket prices start from £28.00, inclusive of a booking fee. When it comes to publicising comedy shows or events, poster printing can prove to be the most effective option.
Adam Kay's show has a starting time of 7:00pm on Wednesday, 12th October at The Forum, Bath.
