Kate Rusby is set to go on tour with her Christmas concert and is due to play Bath early in December.
She hails from Yorkshire and, although recognised as a folk singer, garners much crossover support. In 1999, aged only 26, Kate was listed as one of the Top Ten Folk Voices of the Century. This was confirmed by her winning The Mercury Prize that same year.
She has now been touring, on and off, for 30 years as a full-time folk artist with an extensive catalogue of more than 20 albums. ‘Hand Me Down’, a cover album, came out in 2020 and became her highest chart rating.
Kate has released five Christmas records from the 200-year-old tradition of Yorkshire carols, specific carols sang in pubs at Sunday lunchtime from late November onwards to New Year's Day and this includes the latest of these Holly Head.
Her current band includes Damien O'Kane on guitar and banjo, Steven Byrnes playing guitar, Nick Cooke on the diatonic accordion and Duncan Lyall on double base, as well as The Brass Boys.
Tickets cost £22 for under 18s and £32.40 for over 18s, inclusive of a booking fee. Flyer printing can be useful when it comes to publicising a forthcoming show or musical event.
Kate Rusby's Concert has a starting time of 7.30pm on Friday 9th December at the Bath Forum, Bath.
