Howard is supporting the Time is Precious charity. Along with other runners, he has recognised the work that the charity does on behalf of families with children who have to be hospitalised.
If the Time is Precious organisation wishes to attract more publicity, it could opt to use printing services in Bath. Nicky Halford, who co-founded the group, has said:
“We are extremely grateful to Russell Howard for choosing to run for Time Is Precious.”
The TV comedian has expressed his admiration for the charity, and presenter Ashley James is another celebrity supporting the Bath half marathon. A half marathon is just over 21km, or 13.1 miles.
The disk jockey Greg James, who is set to take part this year, has already run the Bath half marathon previously, having tackled the foot race for the first time back in 2013. James has the inclination to run a full marathon in April this year. As a result, he is using the Bath run for training purposes, as well as making use of the fundraising opportunity simultaneously.
The Bath course is considered to be both flat and quick. The Avon is close at hand at various stages of the event, so participants of differing abilities can enjoy running through a scenic environment.
