Bath awaits Brothers musical

The award-winning 'Blood Brothers - The Musical' is on tour and due to arrive in Bath early in March.

Written by playwright Willy Russell ('Educating Rita', 'Shirley Valentine') with Bill Kenwright producing, it has proved a worldwide success. This subsequently included receiving four awards in London for Best Musical and seven Tony nominations in New York.

'Blood Brothers' tells the story of a young Liverpool mother Mrs Johnstone. Deserted by her spouse and left with seven kids, she goes to work as a housekeeper but quickly finds herself pregnant once again.

From desperation, she agrees with her boss a pact. The twins are separated after birth and brought up in different social worlds. They are later reunited, thanks to a random accident of fate, which leads to the show's stunning climax.

Its music includes 'Marilyn Monroe', 'Bright New Day', and the hit 'Tell Me It’s Not True.' 'The New York Times' declared: 'You've never seen a musical like 'Blood Brothers'. Every night of the week audiences stand and cheer. See it for yourself and understand why.

Ticket prices start at £29 and there is a £1.75 booking fee. Poster printing can be an effective way of publicising a forthcoming local theatrical production.

'Blood Brothers - The Musical' will take place between Tuesday 8th March and Saturday 12th March at The Theatre Royal, Bath.
