According to the Basingstoke Gazette, the biggest employer in town has recently lent its support to Destination Basingstoke.
Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has become a key partner to the non-profit that celebrates cultural and commercial success in the area.
Destination Basingstoke is a company that works to promote the town and the benefits it can offer both to residents and enterprises. It has recently been preparing a Half Marathon in the town, as well as the INSPIRE business awards and a schedule of roadshows to promote local employers to university graduates.
The chief executive of Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Mary Edwards, said that the organisation has always been a huge supporter of Destination Basingstoke and its work, but the new graduate initiative is particularly useful to the trust. Speaking further, she explained that it was about time the two companies got together more closely.
Felicity Edwards, Destination Basingstoke’s managing director, said the fact that the trust has now got involved with the non-profit company is highly significant, and it means the work undertaken has been recognised by the trust as valuable.
Destination Basingstoke focuses on the promotion of local companies and highlighting the prospects of the town to those living elsewhere.
