Works have now started on the building of a sizeable new industrial site in Altrincham, which is set to provide the area with three buildings for the logistics sector when it is finished.
This project is being carried out by logistics real estate firm Logicor. The completed site will offer warehouse storage space that totals around 40,000 sq ft, divided between three separate units. One of these will be 21,000 sq ft in size; another will be 15,500 sq ft, while the third will be 3,500 sq ft.
Set to go by the name of Logicor Park Altrincham, the town was chosen because it is one of Greater Manchester’s main trade centres. The company has committed to a number of measures that will ensure its environmental friendliness.
These will include a Solar PV system mounted on the roof of each warehouse. This will let companies using the buildings add further solar energy systems if they wish. All of the lighting throughout the site will be LED too while there will be charging points for electric vehicles.
