A popular venue in Altrincham will play host to a celebrated English band playing jazz and funk.
Internationally acclaimed UK group Shakatak will be taking to the stage in Altrincham later this year. Founded back in 1980 the band have simultaneously achieved cult status and become a household name with numerous top 20 hits here in the UK.
Shakatak reached a wider audience however, when they rereleased one of their classic albums “Night Birds” which was met with unprecedented success on an international scale. The titular track from the album is now renowned as a standard played by many popular music groups around the world.
Promoters of live music events and tours often use professional Print shops to produce Posters advertising upcoming performances.
Fans of the band based around Altrincham will have the chance to hear a wide range of Shakatak tracks from their career that has spanned four decades like ‘Day by Day’ and the top 10 single “Down on the Street”.
The band’s line-up was established early on and features Jill Saward on lead vocals, Bill Sharpe on keyboard, Keith Winter on guitar, George Anderson on bass guitar and Roger Odell on drums.
Shakatak will now play The Bowdon Rooms, in The Firs, Bowdon in Altrincham on Friday, October 22 from 7.30pm to 10.00 pm. Admissions are available priced at £30.25 per person.
