The Garrick Players production of 'The Worst Witch' is due to take place in early to mid-April in Altrincham.
This is the tale of Mildred Hubble, a typical girl, who finds herself in Miss Cackle's Academy, a school, especially for witches. It is her last semester and somewhat prone to accidents, she decides, along with her friends, to stage a play based on their witches' training. Chaos ultimately results.
Ethel Hallow is jealous and constantly out to ruin Mildred's fun. Whilst Miss Hardbroom remains determined to stop all fun. Worse still, an old foe reappears intent on revenge that poses a threat, not only to the Academy but the entire world.
This adaptation is taken from Jill Murphy's original Books by Emma Reeves. It is directed by Kay Valentine with original music by Luke Potter. There is magic and Mildred's own distinct form of pandemonium!
'The Worst Witch' received its premier in 2019 and subsequently toured all over the UK prior to transferring to the West End. It also picked up the 2020 Olivier Award for 'Best Family Show'.
Tickets range in price from between £13.00 and £18, 00 and are subject to a transaction fee. Graphic design makes an important contribution, when it comes to theatrical productions.
'The Worst Witch' will run from 4th April to 17th April at Garrick Playhouse, Altrincham.
