The musical comedy, 'A Man of No Importance', performed by the Garrick Players, will run over six days at the end of March this year.
It is set in Dublin circa 1964, where Alfie, a bus conductor and fan of Oscar Wilde, wants his amateur theatrical group to perform 'Salome'. Unfortunately, he faces opposition from St. Imelda's church hierarchy, where they are based.

An adaptation of Terrence McNally's book, with Lynn Ahern's lyrics and Stephen Flaherty's music, it won the 'Outer Critics Circle Award for Best Musical' in 2023. This amateur production is directed by Barry Purves.
