An Altrincham venue will be hosting an evening event featuring a famous English musician.
Hero of the Madchester era, Shaun Ryder will be appearing in Altrincham to discuss his impressive and varied career. Born in Manchester on August 23 in 1962, Ryder is a songwriter, singer, author, and well-known television personality.
For many music fans he is best known as the lead vocalist for hit band the Happy Mondays who enjoyed success with tracks like “Kinky Afro”, “Step on” and “Loose Fit”. In the 90s, Ryder formed the UK rock group Black Grape with former member of Ruthless Rap Assassins and the Happy Mondays.
He later became a household name in the TV show “I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!” and his youth was depicted on the big screen in the motion picture “24 Hour Party People.”
