The Storm will welcome their rivals from north of the border to Cheshire as the 2023/2024 season in the UK’s top ice hockey competition continues. Both teams are down towards the foot of the table, but are still in the hunt for play-off places.
The Storm recently staged an impressive comeback to beat Belfast Giants 5-2 on Valentine's night, scoring five times in the second half. The team even wore a special Valentine's jersey to mark the occasion. Head Coach Matt Ginn said:
“We looked a little nervy and grew into the game. I thought Belfast were really good for the first two periods. They were smothering and there wasn’t a lot of open ice out there. Tonight we seemed pretty calm on the bench and kept putting shifts together. We have Dundee coming in and that will be a tough game as well.”
