Jungle adventure arriving in Altrincham
A popular local theatre in Altrincham will be presenting an adaptation of a classic jungle tale just in time for the Easter half term.
The Altrincham Garrick Playhouse has announced it will be hosting a jungle adventure designed for all the family this coming March. A theatre production of Rudyard Kipling’s “The Jungle Book” will be gracing its stage for the upcoming half-term holiday, retelling the tale of man cub Mowgli learning the laws of the jungle. Local theatres presenting shows aimed at children often look to professional print shops to create attractive flyers they can distribute among the community in schools, youth clubs and libraries, among other hubs.
Led by his animal mentors the bear Baloo and the panther Bagheera, Mowgli must face a series of pitfalls and perils, including the deadly Bengal tiger Shere Khan, before ultimately deciding whether his home lies deep in the jungle or the world of men.
The upcoming production is a reimagining by Stuart Paterson transforming Kipling’s much-loved stories into a family adventure filled with surprises. The adaptation was first staged back in 2004, by the Birmingham Stage company.
The Jungle Book production will take place from Friday, March 31 to Sunday, April 16 at the Altrincham Garrick Playhouse on Barrington Road in Altrincham. This play is suitable for children aged five years and up.
