An Altrincham venue is set to host an Australian comedic dining experience based on a much-loved British show.
Fans of gourmet food and comedy in Altrincham will soon enjoy the opportunity to enjoy both in an upcoming show called the “Faulty Towers Dining Experience”. Featuring characters from the revered British comedy, Fawlty Towers, the Australian show includes a three-course meal. While they eat, guests are treated to a two-hour fully interactive performance involving the antics of Basil and Sybil Fawlty and Manuel, the Spanish waiter from Barcelona.
To date, the show is the world’s longest running homage to Fawlty Towers and has received critical acclaim and five-star reviews. Best of Theatre called it ‘Immersive theatre at its startling best’, while What’s On London described it as ‘Deliciously entertaining’.
During the immersive show, diners get to play the role of Fawlty Towers Hotel guests and enjoy the chaotic comedy in between courses. Restaurants often use specialist printing services to create the Menus given to guests.
The live tribute to the acclaimed BBC series penned by Cleese and Booth combines an original script with improvisation and audience participation.
The Faulty Towers Dining Experience will take place at The Bowdon Rooms, at the Firs in Bowdon, Altrincham on Sunday, November 27. A lunch show will be held at 12 pm and an evening dinner performance from 5.30 pm.Get a Free Quote for Menus
