Altrincham resident prepares cookbook

An Altrincham-based chef is securing funds to launch a cookbook.

Altrincham’s Olivier Troalen is using crowdfunding to generate enthusiasm for his latest venture. If people donate £100 to the cause, then their name will be listed within the cookbook. Supporters will also receive other benefits in return for their donation. These benefits include a chef’s apron and a brand-specific voucher.

If all goes to plan, the book launch for ‘A Taste of Home’ is going to take place during September. The official crowdfunding campaign is due to start by March 5th. Poster printing can be used as a marketing tool to promote local events and campaigns within a community. Troalen told the Messenger:

“My mission is to make Brits fall in love with French food again and A Taste of Home captures the essence of this, celebrating authentic home cooking and battling the ‘fancy’ stereotypes French dishes are often associated with.”

A fundraising target of £50,000 has been set. Troalen intends to put the campaign money towards the production costs of the book. He would like to see approximately 5,000 cookbooks printed. During the course of 2019, more than 300 individuals registered an interest in the project.

The book will incorporate a diversity of meat-based and plant-based food. In excess of 70 recipes should demonstrate the best of home-cooking in France.
