Altrincham hosts evening of R&B and soul
The Manchester-based tribute band Stax of Soul is due to play a gig in Altrincham, a date on its 'Embracing the Journey Tour 2025', at the end of December.
This nine-piece live outfit formed in Manchester in 1983, and consists of musicians of the first rank, inclusive of a booming brass section. Their stage performances authentically recreate many of R&B and Soul's greatest hits. They continue to celebrate the sounds and the memories as well as the music's legacy, not least through the support of their loyal fans.
For more than four decades, Stax of Soul has been meticulous in their energetic delivery of the best from the Atlantic, Stax, Motown and Northern Soul back catalogues, plus paying tribute to The Blues Brothers. They, once again, bring to life an entire musical genre and era.
The band's set features over 30 R&B and Soul classics including 'My Girl', 'Stand By Me', '(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction', 'Give Me Just A Little More Time', 'Gimme Some Lovin’, 'Tenderness', 'Soul Man', and 'In the Midnight Hour', amongst many others.
Tickets cost £20.05. Poster printing shouldn't be underestimated as a resource by those engaged in the promotion of a concert or musical event.
