Altrincham Business Learning Exchange (ABLE) is the result of a link-up between Trafford College, Altrincham Forward, and Sale and Altrincham Chamber of Commerce.
Once it launches in September, the service will provide sessions on a monthly basis, run by experts from the council and the business world. It will deal with subjects like basic accounts keeping, legal matters, finance and grants, and marketing and sales.
The Chamber of Commerce’s CEO, Sue Aldridge, told the local press that:
“I felt it was important to have an independent source of support and information available to new businesses, giving advice on everything from premises and leases to banking and marketing.”
She went on to state that the advice and support provided at the sessions would ensure that these companies could avoid common mistakes and get off to a successful start.
New firms starting up in the area are already able to rely on places offering business card printing in Altrincham, providing them with essential corporate items.
Having held an open event towards the end of June, enabling those interested to discover more about what the sessions will offer, people will be able to pay either £50 for all six of them or £10 per session once they begin.
