The Moose Jaw Kinsmen Club has announced the lineup for its annual Sports Celebrity Banquet, headlined by NHL stars.
Grant Fuhr and Curtis Joseph, both NHL goalies, will speak at the event. Fuhr was part of the iconic Edmonton Oilers dynasty in the 1980s, while Joseph, also known as “Cujo”, became a fan favourite for the Toronto Maple Leafs, Team Canada and other teams. The other guests include 1980s Blue Jays slugger and Canadian baseball great Lloyd Moseby and current Saskatchewan Roughriders head coach Corey Mace, himself a former CFL and NFL player. The four men will be joined on stage by emcee and TSN broadcaster Rod Black.
This will be the 31rst annual Sports Celebrity Banquet, and the first held in the Moose Jaw Exhibition Convention Centre, with the aim to accommodate a larger audience. The guests will reflect on their careers and take questions from the audience. The event will raise money for the Kinsmen’s community work in the community. Past editions have included live and silent auctions and the presentation of awards to those who have contributed to local sports. Fundraising events like this often use methods like poster printing or social media to reach a wider audience.
The 2025 Moose Jaw Kinsmen Club’s Sports Celebrity Banquet will take place at the Moose Jaw Exhibition Convention Centre on April 5.
