Moose Jaw fundraiser to go Greek

The Downtown Moose Jaw Association (DMJA) will be holding its fifth annual Greek Night fundraiser this May, looking to support local tourism.

Greek Night has quickly become one of the DMJA’s biggest fundraisers and annual gatherings. Visitors will enjoy a Greek-inspired menu featuring items like chicken thighs, homemade baklava, meatless moussaka and more. There will also be live music and dancing performed by Arkadia – The Greek Band and local artists The BrassRoots Collective.

Attendees will be invited to hit the dance floor, smash some plates and take part in other traditional Greek and Mediterranean festivities. DMJA board member John Iatridis describes the feeling of the event as:

“Eating, drinking, and being merry, I guess, is the best way to put it. Our dance floor seems to be full every year and everybody sticks around and has a good time and that’s what you want to see.”

Proceeds from the event will go towards the DMJA’s various projects aimed at encouraging tourism and community spirit in Moose Jaw. The DMJA will also be putting money raised towards a mural planned for later this year and its Helping Hands Initiative. Fundraisers like this often use speeches and brochure printing to encourage donations.

The 2026 edition of Greek Night will take place at the Temple Gardens Centre in Moose Jaw on the evening of May 2.
