Photographers to gather in Moose Jaw

The Prairie Region of Photographic Arts will be holding its Annual Outing in Moose Jaw this June, aiming to inspire amateur and professional photographers to hone their craft.

The Outing will bring together photography lovers with any amount of skill or equipment together to share ideas and explore photogenic locations. The three-day event will kick off with a social hour, including the viewing of photographic prints by members, followed by the PRPA annual general meeting. Featured member photographs will be selected through a contest.

The photographers will go on to explore the scenery of Wakamow Valley and Moose Jaw Crescent Park. They will also be able to take photos of the Western Development Region’s private collection of vintage vehicles and collectibles. Visitors are also invited to explore other Moose Jaw locations such as the Sukanen Ship Pioneer Village and Briercrest Heritage Museum.

The main day of the Outing will conclude with a banquet dinner, awards presentation, and a slideshow featuring work from participating photographers. Participants can also take part in a guided night sky photography session. The following morning will feature a board breakfast meeting. Photography enthusiasts often use Print shops to better display their work or incorporate it into larger publications.

The 2026 PRPA Annual Outing will take place from June 12 to 14 at the Western Development Museum and other locations around Moose Jaw.
