The Moose Jaw Museum & Art Gallery will be bringing back its summer ParkArt event for another year, bringing together artists and artisans to show off their work.
The outdoor show functions as a fundraiser for the Gallery and markets itself as one of the premier art and craft markets in Saskatchewan. Vendors are selected from an online application process, and all artwork must be made directly by the vendor. There will also be food and drink available, and activities for children. Attendees are also invited to come inside to cool down and check out the Gallery’s current exhibits. There will be a raffle for prizes and a scavenger hunt. Painters, sculptors, and other artists have been selected from across Saskatchewan and beyond.
Confirmed vendors for this year’s edition of ParkArt include Jessup’s General Store, Jerri’s Longarm Quilting, and Caron D’s Creations. Among the refreshment vendors are the Chocolate Moose Fudge Factory and The Cookie Lady. Vendors at marketplaces such as this often provide Business Cards or small keepsakes to help customers remember them year-round. ParkArt is one of the major fundraising events for the Gallery, with money raised through space rental and raffle entry helping to support its exhibits and special events.
The 2024 ParkArt will take place at Crescent Park in Moose Jaw on July 1, Canada Day.
