Moose Jaw companies that are interested in having their occupational health and safety reps receive in depth training may wish to save the date for the Level 1 OHC (occupational health committee) training being offered in the area.
The two-day course will cover an assortment of topics, including how to recognize and assess hazards in the workplace, develop and recommend corrective actions for workplace safety issues, handle refusals to work for safety reasons, and research relevant provincial legislation. Since the training is aimed at newcomers, those who plan on taking part do not need to have any prerequisite training to participate.
The organizers have noted that it is very important that the people who take the training attend the full length of the sessions. Those who are late or absent may be asked to remove themselves from the course and sign up to take a later one.
There is no cost associated with registering for this training. A company that supplies personalized business Forms will be able to craft certificates of completion and other paperwork for those who successfully finish a program like this.
