“A Nashville Christmas” will be hosted by Joel Stewart and feature five award-winning Nashville singer-songwriters. Featured artists include best-selling country singer Jenn Bostic, acclaimed songstress Sarah Darling, and Alberta’s own Lindsay Ell. The line-up also includes performers Jonny Mo and Emily Shackelton. Performers will describe the songwriting process, alongside performing some of their biggest hits – and some beloved holiday standards.
Promoter Jared Mathieson describes it as a way to get a taste of the country music capital in the Jaw:
“If you’ve never been to Nashville, this is your songwriter experience that you’re going to get in Moose Jaw, and the best part about it is all the funds raised go to the local school divisions to help mental wellness initiatives.”
Funds from ticket sales will go towards youth mental wellness charities in Saskatchewan. “In the round” events such as this have become popular as a way to create a more intimate environment and highlight the skills of songwriting. Promotional methods such as banner printing and social media clips help to draw the attention of music lovers in the area.
A Nashville Christmas is set to take place at the Mae Wilson Theatre in Moose Jaw on the evening of December 8.
