A fundraiser is on the way for Moose Jaw that will help to make sure no child in the city goes to bed hungry.
Yara Community Gardens will be hosting its 10th annual Charity Farmers’ Market in support of the Child Nutrition Program offered by Hunger in Moose Jaw and Riversides Mission. These two organizations feed many people each year, including the more than 70,000 homemade and nutritious meals they provide to children who attend Moose Jaw’s schools. Fifty percent of the proceeds from the day will be allocated to this cause, while the rest will be used by the Gardens to help it offer both gardening and educational opportunities for the local community.
A large assortment of products will be available for purchase, including freshly harvested organic produce that was grown in the local area. There will also be handmade crafts and works of art, baked goods and other food, a raffle and also an even split draw. All will be welcome, and donations to the cause will be gratefully accepted from members of the community. Pop up Banners can be prepared for a yearly event such as this.
There will be no admission fee charged to enter the market, which has been planned for August 12th in Yara Community Gardens. Anyone who would like to find out more has been asked to visit the Discover Moose Jaw website.Get a Free Quote for Banners
