The event will see bikers perform extreme stunts atop motorcycles. The riders will be scored based on their tricks, with a winner crowned at the end of the event. The event includes riders with experience in the X Game, Nitro Circus, and Red Bull X-Fighters. Tricks use colourful names such as Superman Seat Grabs, Cliff Hangers, and Super Back Flips.
The purpose is to use motorcycles as a platform to showcase athletic skill and daring, and marketing emphasizes the action-packed nature of the event:
“FMX World Tour is an extreme action sport competition. Watch as high flying FMX PROS compete to be on top and rock the Moose Jaw Events Centre this April, in a full throttle explosive display of athletic ability that will defy gravity.”
The Moose Jaw competition is part of a tour of Western Canada, with this being the only announced Saskatchewan date. The FMX World Tour has previously travelled across North America, as well as visiting select European countries. Extreme sports events such as this are typically advertised using in-your-face graphic design and slogans as part of Print and social media advertising.
The FMX World Tour will visit the Moose Jaw Event Centre on April 2.
