Electronic festival headed to Moose Jaw area

An outdoor music festival will aim to bring some funky rhythms and innovative art to Moose Jaw’s summer over the course of a long weekend.

The Emotion Arts & Music Festival is designed for camping out over a weekend, with all tickets for all four days of the festival. The line-up is headlined by British electronic musicians Serial Killaz, Atomic Hooligan, Phibes and X-Ray Ted, providing an international feel. Also featured are Monkey Twerk from the Netherlands and Canadian artists Jon Delirious and Mikhail Kinder. Dozens of other musicians from around the world will also take the stage. Dancing is encouraged, with several “Flow Artists & Dancers” listed on the line-up.

Arts are also a major part of the Emotion festival, with installations from the likes of Breezin Art, Dr. Isocellator, and Qrunt & Mr. Tag. The festival’s promotional material uses graphic design channeling the 1960s “Age of Aquarius” aesthetic.

The festival will kick off with its traditional Thursday Movie Night. There will also be vendors for food, arts and crafts throughout the weekend and a number of workshops aimed at allowing attendees to channel their creativity. The goal is to attract both electronic music fans and art lovers from Moose Jaw and other parts of Saskatchewan.

The 2022 Emotion Arts & Music Festival will take place between July 28 and August 1 at Besant Campground in Caron, Saskatchewan.
