Jurassic Quest, a touring show that features interactive dinosaur replicas and dinosaur-themed activities, will be visiting Moose Jaw this June.
The event boasts of being the most realistic and travelling dinosaur show in North America, and it has added new elements to its exhibits for this year’s tour. Jurassic Quest includes moving replicas of ancient dinosaurs, including a life-sized tyrannosaurus rex and an 80-foot-long apatosaurus. Visitors can even ride some dinosaurs as they move around. The event also includes the interactive adventure “The Quest”, which sees brochure printing used to give viewers clues to follow and activities to complete across the exhibit floor for a prize at the end.
Jurassic Quest also aims to attract families with an interactive Baby Dinosaur & Raptor Training Experience. Other areas for hands-on play include a giant fossil dig, whereas a fossil exhibit and a display on ancient oceans provide more of a scientific and educational experience. There are also bounce houses and craft stations aimed at smaller children.
Event organizers use a timed and ticketed entry system to avoid overcrowding and promote safety. Jurassic Quest currently includes multiple touring exhibits at the same time, with Moose Jaw being the only Saskatchewan stop on a two-month tour of Western Canada.
Jurassic Quest will visit Moose Jaw’s Mosaic Place on the weekend of June 10 to 12, 2022.
