A special train will be pulling in to Moose Jaw for its 18th year of making the holidays brighter for those who need a helping hand.
The CP Holiday Train, which is all decked out with colorful lights and decorations, will pull into the station, and after it has come to a stop, its doors will open and both the Odds and Dallas Smith will take to the stage for a lively musical performance. No fewer than 14 of the cars will be decorated, and they will remain lit as the bands play and then train leaves for its next stop. Wide format printing can be used to create decorations for a function such as this.
One of the goals of the event will be to raise awareness of local food banks and the services they provide. While the only admittance fee being charged to enjoy the lights and show will be a donation of a nonperishable item to the food bank, monetary contributions will also be appreciated. People are encouraged to contact the food bank to find out what sorts of items they are most in need of. Since the program first started in 1999, more than $12m and 3.9 million pounds of food have been collected.
