Charity golf tourney to return to Moose Jaw

The Canadian Tire Moose Jaw Golf Classic will be back for another edition this June, aiming to raise money for good causes through a day on the links.

The event will see participants compete for the lowest score across the Hillcrest Golf Club’s eighteen holes, using a shotgun start. Golfers can choose to participate individually or as a foursome. There will also be prizes and games scattered throughout the course, and free balls to use at the driving range. Following the game, there will be a cocktail hour and a gala-style steak dinner, with celebrity guests to be announced. During the dinner, participants can further contribute through bidding on live and silent auction items.

Money raised through the Classic will go towards the local chapter of Canadian Tire’s Jumpstart initiative, which helps children from families in need access sports and recreation. In 2024, the event officially merged with the Saskatoon Golf Classic and had its biggest year yet, raising over $60, 000. and featuring hundreds of peoples from different industries. Charity events like this are often also a valuable opportunity to network, with Business Cards changing hands along with scorecards. The Golf Classic is hosted with the support of local volunteers and sponsors.
