Popular Canadian comedian Ron James will stop in Moose Jaw this December as part of his “Back Where I Belong” tour.
The show will feature James’ unique brand of stand-up comedy, which touches on current events and culture as well as broader themes. The tour is James’ first in years following coronavirus-related shutdowns. In addition to decades of stand-up experience, James has gained notoriety for his TV series The Ron James Show, numerous film and television guest appearances, and his nine stand-up specials aired on TV. Marketing for the show focuses on James’ comedy as a live experience as well as the breadth of his material:
“Ron takes his audience on a breath-taking, non-stop roller coaster ride, cutting a wide swath through contemporary culture with a razor-sharp wit, uncompromising standard, and unique, poetically honed delivery.”
The Moose Jaw performance will be James’ last stop in Saskatchewan, following two dates in Saskatoon and one in Regina, on a tour that takes him throughout Western Canada. Stand-up comedy performances like this are promoted through everything from poster printing to podcast appearances, and connect with audiences young and old. So far no information has been announced on potential opening acts or special guests.
