Windsor workshops to be all about butterflies

Monarchs are one of the North American butterfly species that undergoes an annual migration, and the life cycle of these long-distance Flyers will be presented as part of an activity that will be hosted at The Hospice of Windsor and Essex County.

The venue will be offering a series of summer lectures and workshops that will introduce monarchs and the many ways people can lend them a helping hand. The Butterfly Life Cycle Program is open to anyone who uses the group’s services and support, as well as bereaved families, and it will be presented by a trained facilitator. There are three dates scheduled, and each instalment will run for one hour.

The attendees at the activities will learn about monarchs and their role in the area’s ecosystem. They will discover what they eat and what they need to survive so they can raise a family. Tips will be shared for rearing these butterflies at home, and they can use what they have learned to undertake their own environmental stewardship projects.

Learning how to offer Mother Nature a helping hand can be a lot of fun. Offering the attendees in workshop promotional Pens paired with a personalized journal will make it easy for them to record observations and make any notes they wish.

The Butterfly Life Cycle Program will be held on June 30th, July 28th and August 25th. The venue for the class will be 6038 Empress Street in Windsor.
