Windsor will be hosting a special Earth Day Market this April, with an emphasis on sustainability and environmentally conscious products.
The day will feature over 50 vendors, including local businesses and organizations as well as individual artisans and entrepreneurs. Style-savvy visitors can receive a makeover with plant-based makeup and watch the Sustainable Fashion Show. Food vendors will also be facing off in the Vegan Food Contest, with visitors able to judge samples and vote for their favourite dishes.
The market will also have a focus on re-using old items. There will be a swap meet for clothing items and Books in good condition. Mission Thrift Store will take all items left over after the swap for later sale. The store will also be running a Thrift Shop Styling Suite with personalized style advice and outfit concepts.
The event will also include a Paint, Pot and Plant Workshop, where people of all ages can learn how to paint a ceramic pot and plant a succulent in it. The Second Chance Animal Rescue organization will present an Adoption Showcase where visitors can meet dogs up for adoption. Exhibitors at events like this often use Promotional Products and signage to help visitors remember them and make long-term connections.
The 2026 Windsor-Essex Earth Day Market will take place on April 11 at the LaSalle Event Centre.
