The Fogolar Furlan Women’s Association will be holding an event for International Women’s Day this March, taking the form of an Afternoon Tea Party for women in business.
Visitors can enjoy a selection of teas as well as an assortment of pastries and other sweet treats from Golden Oven Bakery. This event will feature special guest speaker Sandra Pupatello, a Canadian senator and former businesswoman. She will be speaking on her experiences as a corporate and community leader and the importance of making an impact.
The Tea Party will also include a Walk Thru Fashion Show by Devonshire Mall outlets Laura’s & Melanie Lynn. Local beauty and accessory vendors will be showcased, and there will be a gift raffle table. Attendees are encouraged to wear their best fascinator or hat, with prizes for the top three accessories. The event will also feature “high tea” staples like finger sandwiches.
Proceeds from the Tea Party will go towards the Welcome Center Shelter for Women & Children. The organization provides emergency shelters for women and their families experiencing homelessness. Fundraising business events like this are often a popular way for entrepreneurs to meet, often exchanging Business Cards and contact information for future connections.
The 2026 International Women’s Day Afternoon Tea Party will take place on the afternoon of March 1 at the Fogolar Furlan Club of Windsor.
