Windsor residents who would like to get all their holiday shopping out of the way well in advance may want to save the date for an upcoming local event.
Mid-November will see the Windsor-Essex Christmas Market popping up at the WFCU Centre, and it promises to be a festive affair. It will include an extensive list of vendors, and there will be other activities as well.
The market will include at least 50 sellers from the local area, making it easy for the public to support small businesses. There will be plenty of unique gift ideas, as well as treats and decor for holiday parties, and crafting stations will be set up throughout the venue. Several friendly competitions, including an ugly sweater contest, are in the works, and live entertainment will keep the atmosphere lively. Santa will be on hand for photo ops, and a hot chocolate bar and gift wrapping services will also be on site.
The organizers of the event have asked that everyone who comes out brings generous donations of non-perishable food, new toys or winter clothing. These will be collected and donated to local community service groups. A poster printing company can lend a hand with a donation drive by preparing marketing materials that include lists of the items most in demand.
The Windsor-Essex Christmas Market is set for November 15th. It will be open from 11:00 am until 6:00 pm.
