A Windsor area sanctuary that provides a respite for migrating waterfowl and other wildlife will be the beneficiary of a fundraiser that has been rescheduled to this month.
The organizers of the annual Jack Miner Game Dinner made the decision to postpone the function to a new date, meaning there is more time to purchase a ticket to be a part of the celebration. Guests can choose to pick up their food and take it home or enjoy it onsite in the comfort of their own vehicle.
The menu for the occasion includes a selection of wild game, with pheasant stir fry, water buffalo meatballs, pickerel chowder and venison sausage all on the menu. Rolls, coleslaw, potatoes and bottles of water will be served alongside these dishes, and while the crowd enjoys their food and live entertainment, they will be helping to support migrating populations of Canada geese.
Many organizers of events like this have found that they have had to make changes in response to COVID-19. Print shops can offer assistance in creating materials to advertise these changes to the arrangements throughout a community.
The new date for the Jack Miner Game Dinner will be May 29th. Tickets start at $30, and donations will be appreciated. The venue can be found at 332 Road 3 West in Kingsville.
