Motoring enthusiasts in Windsor are gearing up for a day of fun as the Canadian Transportation Museum and Heritage Village’s Festival of Cars comes to the area next week.
The popular automotive event has taken place for more than 20 years, and attracts aficionados from all around the county. The museum’s manager notes that while the day may be car themed, there is something on offer for everyone who attends.
There will be more than 400 vehicles on display, and some will even be offered up for sale to interested buyers. A review with commentary will also be provided to give visitors more information about each car on display.
For those who don’t find automobiles all that interesting, there will also be horse-drawn carriage rides, a flea market, live music, door prizes, a barbeque, and several other attractions. A banner printing company has been called upon to create Signs for the festival which will be used to separate the different areas.
One of the highlights of the day is expected to be the chance to have breakfast or lunch in a 50s style diner, which will be surrounded by cars from the same era.
The event will take place on September 1 from 9:00am-3:00pm. There will be a $10 entrance fee for those wishing to display or sell an automobile. Admission for the general public will be $5 per person, with children under 12 being admitted for free. Participants can register from 7:00am until 1:00pm on the day of the festival.
