The Whitby Music Festival will be making its return this June, aiming to highlight different genres of music and local artists.
The annual festival will feature two main stage concerts divided by genre. Friday will see Country Night take the main stage, headlined by acclaimed singer-songwriter Elyse Saunders and DJ Moody. Saturday will be Indie Night, featuring rock trio The Rural Alberta Advantage and Toronto-based hip-hop star Shad.
The festival will also include free concerts and workshops across the town of Whitby, hosted at shops and other grassroots venues. Participating artists include Keegan Powell and the Jetpacks, Liz Uninvited, and Life of Exile. Rody Walker of Protest the Hero will perform a DJ set. Whitby Music Fest is hosted by Town Brewery with support from Durham Tourism and other local organizations.
Craft beer, canned cocktails and various non-alcoholic options and food will be available at the main stage shows. Concerts will go on rain or shine, with ponchos provided in the event of inclement weather. Festivals like this often use methods like poster printing to help attract the attention of local music lovers.
The 2026 edition of Whitby Music Festival will take place from June 25 to 27, with Celebration Square serving as the main stage venue. Other event locations include Against the Grain, Jacked Up Coffee and Lloyd’s Lunchbox.
