Whitby farm to Swing into Spring

The WindReach Farm will be holding a special event in the Whitby area this April to help welcome spring and encourage participation in nature.

The day is designed to showcase agricultural life and settings to a family audience. Visitors can take part in sheep shearing, with demonstrations provided by volunteers, and meet with baby animals, including newborn lambs and chicks. Other attractions include wagon rides, face painting, and a scavenger hunt for young audiences to explore the farm.

The Swing into Spring event will also feature a market area with food trucks and vendors offering wool products and other homemade items. Vendors at marketplaces like this often offer special Promotional Products or other merchandise to celebrate the season. There will also be photo opportunities with animals and natural scenes perfect for social media.

Individuals can also donate to the farm to purchase a ticket for families of lesser means. Proceeds from the event will go towards WindReach Farm, which provides farming and animal therapy programs for people with disabilities. The farm’s website states that they:
“Offer learning and experiential opportunities with the goal of engaging with our participants in order to strengthen skills, independence, and physical well-being in a safe and nurturing environment.”

The Swing into Spring event will take place at WindReach Farm in the Whitby area on April 25.
