The event will see youth players participate in 3-on-3 games, allowing for more touches and quicker action than full hockey. Players will be assigned to balanced teams. Each player is guaranteed five 12-minute games, to a maximum of eight, as part of a one-day tournament. Each division will also crown a champion and a Most Valuable Player at the end of the event.
The two-day tournament will include four age groups, ranging from under 9 to under 15. All players will receive custom tournament jerseys and a free hoody, in addition to other surprise giveaways. Athletic events often use local printing services and trophy shops to help create rewards and commemorative items for participants.
The Let’s Play event is sponsored by Brady Films, who will be providing professional-style highlight videos for emerging players. The Let’s Play 3V3 organization hosts themed events across the United States and Canada, using similar formats. Advertising focuses on the games’ memorable moments:
“This event is all about playing free and having fun. Smaller teams mean more puck touches, quicker decisions, and nonstop action. Every shift is a chance to make a play, score a goal, or pull off a celly worth rewatching.”
The 2026 Let’s Play 3v3 Spring Break tournament will take place in Whitby at McKinney Arena on March 18 and 19.
