The Harvest Festival is designed to showcase small business, celebrate the autumn season, and promote the small town of Brooklin. It is hosted in coordination with the Town of Whitby municipal government. Visitors can shop from local farmers, bakers, brewers, artisans and more. The marketplace draws on the local farmer’s market to provide fresh produce and other goods.
The Harvest Festival also includes a number of activities for children and families, such as a climbing wall, balloon artists, bounce houses, and face painting. Local musical artists and others will provide live entertainment on multiple stages. Exhibitors include the Knights of Columbus Council and Dave’s Creations. Promotional material advertises:
“Local produce, one of a kinds, handcrafts, seasonal favourites, delicious treats, and so much more!”
A free shuttle will be available from Brooklin High School to the event site, with free parking nearby. Past events have also had street closures around the festival area. Rural and outdoor festivals like this often take place this type of year, and can use poster printing and social media to help attract visitors.
The 2026 edition of the Brooklin Harvest Festival will take place in downtown Brooklin on September 19. Admission is free to all.
